Stay Here

Stay at our charming nest located at the heart of Deep Dirt Permaculture Institute. It is a fully sustainable experience featuring:

  • spiral shower
  • composting toilet
  • outdoor kitchen

It is an excellent opportunity to retreat into a world where nature & healing meet.

The space

Country living at its best! The simplicity of the infrastructure supports our need to disconnect from the intensity of modern life, encouraging a more peaceful and connected state of being. More comfortable than camping, our tiny adobe house provided just enough sleeping space for 1 or 2 people. Life here is lived outdoors.

Guest access

This tiny house stands alone and there is full access. Shower and toilet are part of the Institue's amenities

Interaction with guests

On demand, paid workshops can be tailored for our guests. As a Permaculture Designer, an Expressive Arts Therapist and one of the founders of the Tree of Life Rejuvenation Center, Kate has been engaged in healing work since the 1980’s and is now sharing these experiences through workshops. Come and discover how healing the land can help to heal yourself. As a master blacksmith, Richard can provide private lessons in this ancient art. Depending on the schedule of the Deep Dirt Farm Institute, you are also welcome to participate in volunteer activities such as organic food production, composting, erosion mitigation, rain water harvesting, native plant propagation and pollinator habitat creation. Fresh, organically grown produce and duck eggs seasonally available for purchase.

Other things to note

Do you wonder what the world will look like for our children and grandchildren? We do, and we are doing something about it. Deep Dirt Farm Institute (DDFI) has developed a practical approach, using many hands and few dollars, teaching and inspiring people to care for the land through shared work and community building by applying permaculture techniques... think barn raising! Over the past 10 years, over 3,000 people (over 2,000 youth) have come to work and learn at DDFI. They have left with the knowledge, inspiration, and practical tools to make changes in their own lives and the lives of their communities.
